Abstract

This article presents Cognitive Therapy from an evolutionary-constructivist perspective. According to this perspective, the main purpose of Constructivist Therapy is to reconstruct the process of ontogenetic formation of the Self. In order to bring this reconstructive process to fruition, therapeutic interventions are focused on the stages of evolutionary development to more than one stage of self-observation of the Self.
