El terapeuta de cabecera. Una alterantiva al psicoterapeta de atención primaria.

El artículo está dividido en tres partes diferenciadas. En la primera se expone la idea de que la concepción psicopatológica de cada época no es independiente de su contexto histórico y cultural. En la segunda parte se presentan, a partir de varios ejemplos clínicos, diferentes problemáticas que encontramos frecuentemente en la actualidad en los servicios de Atención Primaria de salud mental infantil y juvenil. En el apartado final se hace la propuesta de concebir al profesional de Atención primaria de forma análoga a las funciones del médico de cabecera y pediatra en salud física; esta figura es denominada en el artículo como Terapeuta de Cabecera, diferenciando sus funciones de las que corresponden a lo que entendemos por Psicoterapeuta.
