Vittorio Guidano, an Italian therapist based in Rome, has been developing a little over a decade ago a psychotherapeutic model that constitutes a true turning point in psychology and psychotherapy today, the model Systemic cognitive procedures. This model is based on an epistemological approach post-rationalist that incorporates the new notions of reality and knowledge, that physical science began to be built at the beginning of the century, and that, in In recent years they have been synthesized by Humberto Maturana from the study biological knowledge. This synthesis, in turn, has given rise to new criteria in the notions of organism and adaptation.
