Se analizan y discuten aspectos relacionados con la génesis y evolución de la mente humana. La discusión se organiza en tres apartados. En el primero, se describe y se defiende una aproximación semiótica de la cultura y de la mente humana; en el segundo, se señala que, generalmente, se le ha otorgado un rol casi exclusivo o preponderante a la biología en la formación de las capacidades intelectuales del ser humano, como opción de este exclusivismo biológico, se defiende la idea de un efecto conjunto de la cultura y la biología. En la parte final, se ponderan diferentes aspectos de las capacidades simbólicas que tanto filogenética como ontogenéticamente han sido decisivos en la formación de la mente humana moderna.Downloads
