This article delves into the philosophical category of «archive» and proposes that it is a relevant vector in the contemporary philosophical and political analysis. This is carried out, essentially made from Jacques Derrida’s works and the way the psychoanalysis deals with this issue, under the assumption that Derrida assigns competency to the archive in a philosophical and political sphere, based on his readings of Freud.
