Investigación empírica y teoría feminista en los estudios familiares en el mundo anglosajón: una síntesis extramuros

Abstract

No han sido pocos los esfuerzos para mostrar el aporte refundador y hasta diríamos revolucionario del feminismo en los estudios familiares. Estos esfuerzos, no obstante, provienen casi exclusivamente del propio feminismo. El presente artículo ofrece un recorrido crítico y revisionista de la obra feminista anglosajona, siguiendo su cronología de producción científica pero en esta ocasión desde una instancia «extramuros». Se mostrarán los prismas y temáticas que ha ido ofreciendo el feminismo anglosajón hasta llegar a la etapa postmoderna que hoy nos ocupa, momento en el que descubrimos una asimilación creciente y silenciada de los aportes que serán objeto de reconocimiento y repaso en este trabajo.

Many efforts have been made to show the re-founding, and even we would say revolutionary, character of feminism in family studies. However, these efforts almost exclusively come from feminism itself. This article presents a critical and revisionist approach to English-speaking feminist works, following the chronology of its scientific production. In this case, our view is located «outside the walls». Prisms and topics of the English-speaking feminism will be shown until the postmodern stage. In that moment we discover a crescent and silenced assimilation of the contributions that will be an object of recognition and revision in this work.
