Abstract

La montaña tiene hoy un gran protagonismo, derivado de su situación critica, en virtud de la decadencia de sus actividades tradicionales, que ha determinado un estancamiento, cuando no, un retroceso de su economía. En líneas generales la política de montaña de la CEE como las específicas de los Estados de Europa del W., van encaminadas a asegurar la continuidad de la actividad agraria en estas zonas, para mantener unos mínimos poblacionales, salvaguardar el medio natural (protección contra la erosión principalmente) y responder a las necesidades de ocio que de ellas se demanda.
