Author Biography

Sarai Ramos Cedrés, Universitat de València

Currently a PhD student within the Doctoral Programme in Languages, Literatures, Cultures and their Applications at the Universitat de València, my research focuses on neo-Victorian dramatic adaptations of nineteenth-century written works, performed at the Royal National Theatre of London. Among my contributions at conferences are: “Women and the Nineteenth Century at the National Theatre of London,” at Women Staging and Re-Staging the Nineteenth Century II (international conference); “Alice on Stage: A Twenty-First-Century Musical on Contemporary Teenage Concerns,” at Women Staging and Re-Staging the Nineteenth Century (international conference); “Treasure Island and the Neo-Victorian Stage at the National Theatre” (round table) and “Current Monsters, an Exploration of Motherhood in Lisa Evans’ Frankenstein,” at the 45th AEDEAN Conference; and “Nick Dear and Danny Boyle’s Frankenstein: A New Perspective,” at the V Congreso Internacional de Mitocrítica held in Madrid among others.
