One of the most important and relevant aspects in the world of diplomacy and foreign policy of any nation or state has been to be able to maintain a foreign policy commensurate with its diplomatic service also called foreign service. It is possible to be said that among the ones that have emphasized more has always been the papal diplomacy that is also known as Vatican diplomacy. Likewise, the foreign policy of the Holy See has been one of the most observed by the rest of the countries, not only in Europe but in the rest of the world. It has been tried to give a vision of the same from his historical, institutional and ecclesial vision from the pontificate of Pío IX until the pontificate of Francisco.
