Abstract

In this article we will present a series of objections to the theories of truth of relativism and dogmatism distilled from the arguments of the skeptic Sixth Empirical and the Buddhist Nāgārjuna. This presentation pursues the enhancement of the status of the authors' approaches after the recent emergence of theories of truth in the twentieth century. In addition, the edifying correlate of the skeptical task is proposed, suggesting that these authors archieve a protoformulation or, at least, a paved path for a constructivist pragmatism. This proposal from itself can be conceived as a kind of new skeptical truth criterion: the truth is understood as an invention.
