Review of the book "Field theory in social science", written by the psychologist and philosopher Kurt Lewin and published for the first time in 1951. It has 10 chapters divided into sub-sections, in which he develops the vital concept of his theory: the "field" and its relationship with cognitive processes, learning, development and groups, and also provides a holistic approach to psychosocial phenomena. It is essential to consider Lewin's approaches to understand social phenomena such as the formation of groups, the establishment of ideologies, the displacement of masses, among others.
