Abstract

The objective of this dissertation is to demonstrate that with the use of CAD tools for creation of welded structures in a general way, can give a support and facilities this step of mechanical project development. The used methods where besides research bibliography, mainly the use of descriptive applied nature, demonstrating step by step the use of the tools to carry out the project stages. Through the analysis of the obtained results, it was verified benefits for the development of welded structures components, with, in addition to storing information about structural components; such as measurements, mechanical properties of materials, positioning, detail automation and other details that contribute to quality, time and profitability. It was also concluded that with the suggested steps, it is possible to create models that can be configured and used to establish adequate project development methodologies, such as good practices for the execution of mechanical projects
