Abstract

In the last years, several criteria have been proposed to predict vibrations by dynamic contact in rough surfaces, based on different suppositions and mechanical models. The objective of this study is to classify the most excellent works developed in field and to analyze its main characteristics: dynamic parameters of damping, degrees of freedom, type of friction, model of ruggedness, type of load, etc. The method of solution and other relevant conditions are also considered. With it, a general model is proposed that it includes most of the characteristics of the models used.
