Abstract

The notion of consumer in EU Law played a major role. This notion is been delineated for the purposes of each text. ECJ finds that a lawyer may be a consumer in a mixed business and consumer contract. In fact, ECJ holds that a person who practises as a lawyer may be regarded as a consumer under Article 2(b) of Council Directive 93/13/EEC on unfair terms in consumer contracts (Horatiu Ovidiu Costea v SC Volksbank România SA Case C‑110/14).
