Hierarchical religious structures in the Graeco-Roman cults of the Egyptian gods

The rediscovery of the archaeological sites of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Stabies led to the artistic diffusion of the findings. One of these works shows some acolytes of Isis preparing to fulfill their functions in the ritual. From this image they will be analyzed the priestly hierarchies of this goddess in the Hellenistic and Roman spheres.
