Abstract
Taoism is a religion and belief of antiquity, arising in China, in which Buddhist and Confucian ideas also converge. The word Tao, which can also be transcribed from Chinese as Dao, refers to the path of life, its journey and meaning. From this absolute concept the word Taoism is derived, where there are three virtues that we must aspire to related to Taoism, called the Three Treasures: humility, moderation, and compassion. Along with them rises a general attitude: non-action, which focuses on adapting to circumstances and eliminating goals and desires, ceasing to try to control everything. Well, Taoism bases part of its beliefs on the idea that everything flows naturally if we wait, considering that all reality is always subjective. Therefore, it is necessary to find harmony with the Tao and recognize ourselves with our authentic self or true self.
