Abstract

Presently work is carried out t he analysis of lubricity of a b iofuels-diesel blend. The mixture com- posed by 10 percent of diesel, 35 percent of higuereta oil and 55 percent of ethanol (10-35-55) offers favorable results; the same one can be us ed in diesel engines without nec essity of modifying. For the comparative study the pin on disc test was selected, which doesn't seek to repres ent all the conditions that can be experienced dur- ing the exploitation of a machine or mechanism, but rather it i s used to compare the magnitude of the wear in the couple's element that is in c ontact being present the diese l and the studied mixture. The biofuel mixture had better results in comparison with the diesel, diminishing the v olume lost in 35%. This d emonstrates a better be- havior as for the lubricity and therefore the possibility to pr olong the useful life of any component that is lubri- cated by the fuel.
