In the present work a study of the stress state of the elevator slew mechanism of the new model of Cuban sugarcane harvester CCA-5000 in the stage of research and development is done. Extreme loads obtained from theoretical calculation and multiplication by the corresponding dynamic coefficients obtained from the experimental evaluation of the model sugarcane harvester KTP-23 in an test track were applied, this model is similar in structure to the new prototype. For this study the Finite Element Method is used to give the distribution of the safety factor and the stresses in the elevator slew mechanism for different combinations of maximum loads acting on it. The area where the maximum stresses and loading rate to those that occur is located. The proposed methodology allows evaluate the resistance of the machine elements of mobile equipment in the stages of research and development.
