A proposal for heat recovery in commercial refrigeration systems for DHW production is presented, which allows transversality for its application in various climatic zones, contributing from the point of view of reducing energy consumption to satisfy multiple needs. This article analyzes the performance of a prototype re-frigeration system with heat recovery to produce DHW, built in the format of an experimental model that uses a 177 W compressor. In the analysis, readings of the system's operating parameters were taken, The effectiveness of the heat exchange was determined, and the increase in the efficiency of the refrigeration system, as well as the energy saved by heating the DHW, compared to other forms of heating. The results obtained reported that it is possible to take advantage of the residual heat of a commercial refrigeration system and use this heat for the production of DHW.
