Abstract

In this paper it is presented the analytical predictions of the loss coefficient of various basic geometric shapes of water cooling tower fills, film and splash type, and subsequent experimental measurements in two test facilities ad-hoc. It also analyzes the loss coefficient per unit length of fill, coefficient with which the comparison is improved between the results.
