Abstract

This paper presents an artificial neural network ARTMAP-Fuzzy-Wavelet to analysis of the structural integrity of a building. The combination of a neural network with the Wavelet transform generates a powerful tool for carrying out the identification and characterization of structural failure. This tool will help practitioners in the inspection structures, in order to identify and characterize flaws in order to perform preventive maintenance to ensure the integrity of the structure and assist in decision making. To validate the methodology, was developed a mathematical model of a building, and from this, several situations were generated (normal condition and failures conditions), yielding a signal database, which were analyzed by the proposed method. The results obtained by the neural network ARTMAP-Fuzzy-Wavelet, presents efficiency and robustness.
