Globalization and tourist quality: European Union actions and their integration in the Spanish landing and tourist plans

Abstract

This study analyzes the European Union politics about tourism, in order to continue as the world’s number 1 tourist destination. The European Union actions aim at promoting the development of sustainable, responsible and high-quality tourism. Spain has introduced these principles in its legislation and also the landing and touristic plans apply them.
