Mutations of the legal regime of the state public television and its incompatibility with the European Union law

This paper analyzes the reform of Law 17/2006, dated June 5, radio and stateowned television conducted by Royal Decree-Law 15/2012 dated June 5, radio and stateowned television conducted by Royal Decree-Law 15/2012, concluding that such reforms, which have external appearance of organizational reforms, have mutated the organization of Spanish Radio and Television Corporation (CRTVE) in clear violation of the Spanish Constitution and European Union law. In particular, the reforms undertaken pluralistic violate the principle that should permeate the entire CRTVE, by determination of the Spanish Constitution and the Law of the European Union, from its organizational aspects, to how to meet the constitutional objective of providing citizens truthful information.Downloads
