Abstract

Marketing Departments are actually facing a new challenge involving a type of costumer who, concerned for environmental issues, is applying his knowledge and worries to his shopping habits and choices. The set of rules and directives protecting and guiding the costumer in his choice might be found in different branches of law. Essential tools fulfilling ecologist costumer`s right to information are EU Eco-Managing System and Eco-Audit (EMAS) which aim is to inform customers over environmental effects of productive activity and the Eco-Label System (ECO-LABEL) warning over ecological qualities of products for sale.
