Abstract

This work highlights the direct link that exists between the profile of the Ibero-American engineer and the need to collaborate and comply with the UN 2030 Agenda. If the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) are incorporated into the academic training process of engineers, the socio-economic and environmental vision of the engineering professional will be modified. For this, teachers must know how to do it and get involved in the process. To them, then, we must form: our Teachers of the Career. In this way, knowing them how to adapt their Chairs to the learning of Sustainable Development based on competences, it is expected that our Engineers will appropriate a different vision of Planet Earth and its inhabitants. The Project underway in the
Pacheco Regional Faculty of the National Technological University, related to the 10academic treatment of the goals of Sustainable Development that is based on teacher training and permanent accompaniment of its staff in these items begins to yield positive results regarding the interest of the educational community in complementing the professional training of Engineering in these topics, especially if one considers what is prescribed in the Competences enunciated by the ASIBEI.
