Abstract

This paper studies the relation between environmental protection and ex ante evaluation of plans and programmes with likely significant effects on the environment. Thus, the attention is focused on strategic environmental assessment as an instrument that has a procedure incorporated into the approval process of those plans and programmes, forming an indivisible unity. Generally, it is targeted at its frame in Autonomous State and, particularly, in Comunidad Valenciana.
