Abstract

This paper proposes and develops some useful methodology for the various public administrations of the European Union, competent in the field of air transport, which would be able to perform efficiently and with safeguards Public Service Obligation inspections under the Regulation (EC) 1008/2008 and, in parallel, it also serves to evaluate public policies on air transport.

A prototype application that analyzes the process of on-line booking flights is designed. It transfers the results to a database, which today has an amount of more than 8,000 flight bookings made, and a total of 285,000 data collected related to routes that connect to each other the Balearic Islands.
