The deadline for receiving originals for issue 23 is now open.
The call for submissions for issue 23 of the Journal of Institutional Studies is now open.
The call will be open until November 15, 2025.
The Journal "Institutional Studies" is published by the UNED (National University of Madrid) in collaboration with the Institutional Studies Research Group (INSTURTEG), formerly the Research Group on the History of Legal-Political Thought (GIHPJ-P), a consolidated group at the UNED. The aim is to disseminate knowledge about institutions, regardless of their area of specialization, whether material, temporal, or geographical.
Its online publication is in line with the goal of disseminating knowledge on institutional matters—and nothing better than the openness and immediacy that the internet provides to achieve its objectives. For this reason, we aim to bring together in these pages studies on history, law, politics, communications, protocol, ceremony, public relations, and any other perspective that allows for a better understanding of public and private, national and supranational institutions, although preference will be given to European and Ibero-American fields. It is therefore a multidisciplinary journal, although the Research Group belongs to the UNED Faculty of Law.
This publication is open to all types of researchers, students, doctoral candidates, professors, and independent researchers. The objective is to offer a biannual publication that disseminates work of the highest quality and simultaneously serves as a reference for the scientific community on the advances being made by young researchers at universities around the world. Collaborators are invited to submit proposals in Spanish, Portuguese, French, or English that address any area of the Institutions, either individually or in relation to other specialties. Articles, which may be submitted throughout the year in accordance with the publishing standards, will be published on the journal's website in PDF format and will be available for open online consultation. The journal does not charge a fee for publication.Priority areas of interest:1. History of Institutions2. Law and Institutions3. Communication and Public Relations4.
