Call for paper Number 22 of the Institutional Studies Magazine
The call for the 22nd issue of the Journal of Institutional Studies is now open.
The call will be open until May 15, 2025.
The Institutional Studies Magazine is published by UNED in collaboration with the Institutional Studies Research Group (INSTURTEG), formerly the Research Group on the History of Legal-Political Thought (GIHPJ-P), a consolidated group of UNED, with the aim of disseminating knowledge of Institutions whatever their field of material, temporal or geographical specialization.
Its online publication characteristic is in line with the purpose of disseminating knowledge in institutional matters—and nothing better than the openness and immediacy that the Internet provides to achieve its objectives. For this reason, we wish to bring together in these pages studies on History, Law, Politics, Communications, Protocol, Ceremony, Relations... and any other point of view that allows for a better understanding of public and private institutions, national or supranational, although preference will be given to European and Latin American areas. It is therefore a multidisciplinary journal, although the Research Group belongs to the Faculty of Law of the UNED.
This publication is open to all types of researchers, students, PhD students, professors, and independent researchers. The objective is to offer a biannual publication that disseminates works of the highest quality and that serves at the same time as a reference for the scientific community of the advances that are being carried out by young researchers from universities around the world. Collaborators are invited to submit proposals in Spanish, Portuguese, French or English that deal with any area of the Institutions, in themselves or in relation to other specialties. Articles, which can be submitted throughout the year in accordance with the publishing rules, will be published on the journal's website in pdf format and will be available for open online consultation. The journal does not charge anything for publication.

Article proposals and book reviews must be submitted through the journal's application at

To do so, you must create a username and password. Then, you must download the template in the “About” – “Guidelines for authors” section. Articles that do not appear in the template will be rejected before being assessed by the reviewers.
The Journal of Institutional Studies is included in Journal Included in DIALNET, ISOC DATABASE, LATINDEX (34 OF 36 CRITERIA), DULCINEA, CIRC CLASSIFICATION, DOAJ, MIAR, SHERPA ROMEO, ERIHPLUS, DOAJ, WEB OF SCIENCE and continues working to position itself in the best indexes and databases.
