Abstract

This work presents the results of an investigation to determine the behavior of the mechanical pro- perties of "kraft " papers, used in corrugated cardboard industry, under the action of different atmosphere condi- tions. For the tests 1O varieties of papers were selected, all of significant use in the corrugated cardboard indus- try, including some papers manufactured with virgin fiber as similar manufactured with recycled fiber, suppo- sed smaller quality. It is indicated that the properties of the containers of corrugated cardboard depend directly of the mechanical properties of the papers with which are manufactured.
