Abstract

In the isostatic pressing of cer amic powders for the manufacture of grinding media, has a production considerably lower than the production of ceramic plat es that methodology has uniax ial single-action, and this is because of the complexity of the isostatic. Currently, the manufacture of grinding media for the ceramics industry for coating plates, only takes pl ace via the isostatic process, because this physical characteristic is far more complex than uniaxial pressing, is ostatic pressing on it while it is po ssible to get pressed into spherical shape, the process of uniaxial plates, simply has the feat ures and rectangular or squa re, with a certain thickness.

This was carried out a study for the use of uniaxial singl e-acting to compact grinding media used in the industry of ceramic plates with wet processing.
