Greece´s red terrorism: the revolutionary organization 17 of November (17N)

The terrorist organization 17 November was Greece’s most enduring and one of the most violent in Europe. Formed in the first years of Metapolitevsi, the transition to democracy from the military Junta, 17N exercised a continuous influence on Greece’s political life for 27 years and achieved international fame. However, there is a bibliographical gap in the Hispanophone literature about 17N disproportionate to its impact within and without Greece. Against this backdrop, this article presents the dialectic relationship between 17N’s political violence and the socio-political context where it emerged.
