Sobre el portal
The UNED Library supports open access scientific publishing and provides the university’s teaching and research community with this platform for publishing digital scientific journals. The platform includes all the necessary features to manage the full editorial workflow, including peer review processes. Additionally, each published article is assigned a DOI.
It is based on Open Journal Systems, an open-source tool developed and maintained by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for the creation, management, and publication of scientific journals in digital format. The ongoing technological updating of this research support platform is essential to maintain security and improve its capabilities.
To this end, the UNED Library received funding from the 2023 María de Guzmán grants under Line 2, dedicated to promoting open science through improved technological capacity, quality, and interoperability of institutional digital infrastructures for dissemination, storage, preservation, and management of research outputs, as supported by FECYT.
The Library also offers support and training in the use of the platform, as well as assistance with issues related to the web tool. Furthermore, we provide guidance on copyright and intellectual property management, support in journal evaluation processes, and any other similar matters that UNED faculty and researchers may require.
For inquiries, assistance requests, or to create a new journal, you may contact us via email at: revistasbiblioteca@adm.uned.es or by phone: 913986643 / 6633 / 6562 / 8766 / 7894.
You may also request a personalized support session for matters related to the technical and editorial management of UNED scientific journals, the OJS platform, and other issues concerning quality criteria in open science (this service is exclusively for faculty affiliated with UNED departments and researchers in training).
In addition, video tutorials and a publication guide are available. To receive updates and activities related to our research support services, you can subscribe to the Library’s newsletter and follow our blog Investiga UNED.
