Through this research, we have tried to analyze the differences that may exist regarding the mainstreaming of gender perspective, by the non-governmental developmental organizations (NGDOs), in projects funded by the International Cooperation Spanish Agency for Development (AECID, according to its initials in Spanish), through competition (since 2009 until 2010 inclusive), considering some variables supposedly influential and a sample of 259 projects. Therefore, the theoretical core of this research has revolved around the gender in development approach and the definition of the mainstreaming of gender perspective strategy. The obtained results, applying the fundamentals of approach quantitative research methodology and the research method based on content analysis of development projects based about documents, have revealed the finding of significant differences in relation to the mainstreaming of gender perspective considering the following variables: “Sector CRS (Creditor Reporting System)>”; “Marker of gender assigned by the NGDO”; “Score of gender assigned by AECID about the project” and “The public mainly objective of the project”.
