¿Qué es ser experto en psicoterapia?

En este artículo se aborda el debate sobre la definición y delimitación conceptual de psicoterapeuta experto mediante una revisión narrativa de la literatura. En primer lugar, se exponen las principales posturas en torno a la expertise psicoterapéutica, destacando las tensiones teóricas y metodológicas que dificultan su consenso. Posteriormente, se amplifica la discusión incorporando tres paradigmas de expertise provenientes de otros campos disciplinares: construcción social, desarrollo progresivo de habilidades y rendimiento máximo. Ante la diversidad de enfoques y métodos, se propone abandonar la búsqueda de una definición única de expertise psicoterapéutica y, en su lugar, encontrar puntos de diálogo que permitan articular diferentes perspectivas. Como contribución final, se presenta el "Modelo de Expertise por Capas", diseñado para organizar las múltiples dimensiones del fenómeno y facilitar el diálogo entre investigaciones futuras.
