Prevention of violence in a case of antisocial personality
Abstract
This paper shows a multi-component intervention in a case of Antisocial Personality Disorder. The patient, a 23 year-old man, who first presented certain problems with his girlfriend, showed aggressive behaviours as well, not only with her but also within different contexts. These behaviours were due to lack of selfcontrol and disfunctional social skills. He had been battered during his childhood. The intervention tecniques and their efficacy are presented, as well as the results obtained, which fulfilled the established goals in a 6 month follow up.
