Writing a Grant Proposal

When writing a grant proposal, be convinced that funding your program will have a positive and measurable effect on your community. Start by identifying a need. What problem or issue in your community can be improved or changed with the grant money and a good effort? You may feel that there is a need to clean up a polluted river. But unless there is general agreement in the community on the need for your project, it may be difficult to get a grant to fix it - and even more difficult to complete the project.
