Not happening: The award show was initially slated to air live from Las Vegas on April 29. Kelly's seen performing during last year's show above

The award show, initially slated to air live from Las Vegas on April 29, is one of a number of events that have been called off in an attempt to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Dick Clark Productions and NBC, who produce the annual award ceremony, have yet to announce a new date.

The mass production cancellations served to cooperate with the CDC's advice pertaining to public gathering in wake of COVID-19.

According to the CDC, all gatherings involving 50 people or more should be called off for the next eight weeks, while President Donald Trump advised get-togethers of more than 10 people should be avoided.
