Don't Be Afraid To Make Food Fun Try making a sweet potato puree and putting it into a pastry bag. Let your children make fun designs with the puree, just like they would do if they were frosting a cupcake. Create an environment that celebrates, not dictates, the benefits of healthy food. When you do this, you're setting a foundation of thought that will remain with your child forever. Even better, if you get them thinking this way, they can start passing on these attitudes to their peers. Just imagine the effect you'd be having not only on your household but also your entire community.All it takes is choosing words that create positive situations that your children will remember. Whether you realize it or not, you have a food comfort zone that you're not often willing to travel out of. It could be a certain balance of carbs to protein or types of vegetables you're willing to eat.
